Sunny Min-Sook Hitt

Sunny Min-Sook Hitt (she/her) is a choreographer, movement director, performer and teacher. Her work has been presented in NYC at The Tank, Mark Morris Dance Center, The Public Theater, and she has received support from The Foundation for Contemporary Arts emergency grants. She currently serves as Associate Director/Choreographer for UNTITLED DANCESHOWPARTYTHING (Virgin Voyages). Other credits include: Choreographer for THE GREAT LEAP by Lauren Yee (Portland Center Stage), Associate Choreographer for SOFT POWER by David Henry Hwang (The Public Theater, Center Theater Group), Movement Director for THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME (Florida Studio Theater). As a performer she has been seen in THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME (Actors Theatre of Louisville), THE TEMPEST (The Public Theater), and most recently JUNE RITES!!, a site-specific dance theater piece by Lee Sunday Evans on Governors Island. She has been a teaching artist at Abrons Arts Center and guest artist at NYU Playwrights. Sunny’s durational piece ON VIEW: WFU was created and presented in the 2020/2021 Exponential Festival. Her most recent experiment with long-time collaborator Ani Taj titled BODY OF WORK, explores dance economics and the possibilities of commodifying dance through NFTs. Sunny is currently adjunct faculty at Mannes School of Music (The New School).
